Northville Public Schools’ Early Childhood Education and Extended Day Programs needed a new logo design that fully embraced their research-based curriculum, emphasizing active participation to promote children’s development and learning through play (art). They were looking for something minimal, simple, cute (but not cutesy), and organic with a natural feel in both design and color usage.
The resulting logo design combines separate pieces (symbolizing the two different groups coming together to form this new unit) with organic, hand-painted strokes to form the letter “N” in the negative space.
