AnatomyU is a blog focusing on the management of the research enterprise of universities – how research is being managed, facilitated, measured, funded, and regulated.
Since research consists of largely medical science, the blog name is a play on a perceived double-meaning of the word “anatomy”, which is loosely the shape and structure of an organism, or the skeleton. The second meaning beyond the standard anatomy class definition, is employed when describing an organization and its components, structure, reporting lines… the “guts” of an organization.
The client wanted the logo design to be fun and playful so I created a mark transforming the “U” into a test tube to represent the scientific research at a university.
